Teeth..... on the Lose!

2 of my children came up to me last night insisting that I "feel how Wiggley" their teeth were.
Gus is finally going to lose his first tooth. It was bleeding and almost ready to come out. Today when he got up all he did was wiggle the thing. He told me how at school when you lose a tooth you get a special necklace and you get to put a sticker up on you tooth spot.
Too cute. He's really excited.
Sassy has one of her eye teeth loose. She has lost a lot of teeth so the glamour has worn off for her, but she did tell her brother that the Tooth Fairy brings $5.00 when you lose your first tooth at our house. Gus was really excited when her heard that. (Now to come up with the $5.00)
p.s. I'd post pictures of what's been happening over the last few days but I'm having issues with uploading pictures....(makes my stomach cringe.) Problem will be fixed shortly.

The HAT!

Gus loves this hat.
The story behind the hat goes a little something like this:
The week before Christmas he recieved a card with $5.00 in it from G&G Proctor a tradition in which my kids get a card almost every holiday with money in it. They love the money, but they love going to the mail box and seeing if they have gotten mail even more. Gus thought about what he could do with the money.... Lego's, A car, Coloring Books oh but alas he chose a hat from RUE21. He had saved a couple of dollars and used the $5.00 to purchase this little diddy. He has been very proud that he spent his own money and he wears it almost every day.
(Lucky for his Mom it's been freezing cold out so he can wear it everyday.)

I am a .....LIAR!

Well I AM A Liar! So sorry to those innocent people who thought I never tell lies... I guess I did yesterday. Dang it! Slowly as our day progressed yesterday said baby in previous post (Well he's my baby even if he's not a baby any more) had a fever, was coughing up a lung and kept telling me "Momma my nose keeps sneezing me." That means his nose is stuffed. By last night he only wanted to be held and had fallen a sleep several times. He is definately sick. Good thing he has antibiotics. Oh yucko yucko yucko is all I have to say. So in reality I wasn't duped. Baby boy ws duped into thinking he felt fine when the gomboo was coming for him.
I took a couple of pictures of my sweet guy and this is what he did.... Oh I love this age! It's the beginning of 2 years of this kid pulling these faces everytime I get my camera out to take apicture. I know this because big brother did the same thing.

i've been DUPED!

So you know the age old story of a sick kid..... "Mommy I don't feel so good. I don't want to go to school!" Then you debate and debackle about what to do and you then decide to keep the kid home because they do have the common cold but you don't want to chance them getting every other kid at school around them sick. Then they act completely fine except for the occassional cough and sneeze. That would be me this morning. My boo-boo has been sick for what seems like all winter. I'm a good cleaner upper. I'm a good germ preventionist. I give my kids their vitamins faithfully. So why? I don't know the answer to this question. But I feel like if the kid can jump around happily, sing at the top of their lungs, scream and throw a fit, play lego's like they're going out of style and eat you out of house and home, then they can
GO TO SCHOOL!
(Note to self: You are a softy.... Get a little bit Harder you fool
you've been DUPED!)

The quiet side of things....

So as I'm writing this I'm sitting quietly in my house. I've just sent 3 kiddies and a husband who takes them off to school. What do I love ..... The quiet my house offers. Especially whilst it's snowing. I am one of "Those" people who is pretty much a home body. I love to sit or lay in the quiet stillness my house has to offer for the next little while. It gives me a chance to remember who exactly I am. Sometimes I forget who that it. Who am I? Well I am a wife and mother first and foremost, but after that who am I? Oh yeah, I'm that girl who still feels like she's trying to find out her niche in life. I'm that girl who loves to laugh and smile. I'm that girl who hates to fold socks. I'm that girl who loves to bake. I'm that girl who tries really hard to find someone who might be in need and help them is the little way that I can. I'm the girl who loves to talk on the phone with her friends... which does include a call to Mom everyday too. I'm that girl who is a hopeless romantic. I'm that girl who has had a big dose of reality in her life and realizes that it's not always fair, but that you can make it past the junk and become a better person.
So what are you thinking about in the quiet time of your life while you go about your day even if it's for a minute or an hour or somedays a few?

Day 5.... Gifts!

I loveto get gifts. Who doesn't? I love to give gifts even more. It's so much fun to pick things out and wrap them and give them to someone you love and care about. I love to see the look on peoples faces even when it's the smallest of gift. I love that you can make somebody's day.
I decided that I decorate their treats for Valentines a little fancy chic .... They are getting a box of whoppers and a bag of candy which was then place in a pillow box.

Days 3 & 4....

I'm doing double duty on this.....
I love to scrapbook & craft. I'm not the greatest. I've never been featured in a magazine, blog or on t.v. for it, But oh how I love paper, ink, stickers, staples, chipboard,acrilic,paint,wood,ribbon,flowers,brads,eyelets....etc.
I also love DIGI Scraping. I love that I can find FREEEEEEE things on the internet to scrapbook with. I love working on a layout at the computer. I love to see that I can have just a computer hold all that stuff as mentioned before on an external hard drive. (AMAZING.... who'd a thunk!)
So here's to all the folks who have the same love for Scrapping and Crafting as I do...... HAPPy Crafting for V DAY!
So I recieved this book from a very dear friend Larinda the other day and it was wrapped with a cute ribbon/flower....
Take a closer look!
The flower is several hearts cut out and a hole is punched down towards the bottom and a bead is placed through the ribbon then the hearts. I did my own take on this cute idea for wrapping and have now made several book marks for my young women for my lesson on Sunday.
I love this idea and it could be used for several things.... My mind is a turning with the possiblities.
So thanks again Larinda for this amazing idea. It's darling!

I love to...... Day 2 week of love!

I love, love, love 2 smooch!!!! I love to get and give kisses. I loved it when my babies were little and had chubby little cheeks to kiss. I love it when I get to give them kisses at bed time. I carry on the tradition that my Mom used to do when we went to bed each night. She'd kiss as many times as we were old and one to grow on.
I especially love kissing the HUBS!!! Wow is he a good kisser. He makes my heart go a pitter pat a LOT!!!!!!
So here's to good smooches this week.

I love to see a happy couple dance to their first song. We had planned to dance at our wedding and totally spaced it. Oh well!!!! But if we would have this is what I would've wanted it to be like.... The many years ago that it was. This is quite funny.....The Evolution of Dance Marriage Style(Mute My Playlist)

Pretty Girl

Okay so first off thanks ANG. for letting me use your chair. I'm glad that I asked. Second, my sassy looks way older than what she is in these photo's and super beautiful.... I think my husband and I are going to have to keep a gun by the front door in a few years.... (I'm Bias what can I say.) I'm very proud of how this shoot turned out. Sassy complained all morning about everything that she had to wear and her hat too.... Whatever, it worked well.
I also had a lot of fun shooting A's daughter and Jill and Abby. Thanks for taking time out of your Saturday's to come over.

Random things...

So this is a very random post....
*My husband was messing with my camera the other night and thought that it would be funny to take pictures of our eyeballs. We thought that he was taking pictures of our faces, but he zeroed in on our eyes. WEIRDO!!!!
* I have major issues with burrying the speedometer on my husbands truck! WOW ... you say! Not really it's just that the speedometer is broken so you start out at 60 miles an hour now. I'm a speedy lady I must say.
* Kids think they are pretty sneaky when they hide junk under their beds... Why is that? Don't they know that their Mom used to do the same thing so she knows a thing or two about that.
* Totally bugged.... Well when you apply for the t.v. box coupons and you are put on a waiting list to get them and after many months of waiting you check back and your coupons are scheduled to come to you the day before the scheduled dtv thing.... Do think there will be any possible chance we'll be able to get the dang boxes?Highly doubted. We'll get to the store and they'll tell us that they ran out.
* Splendid just spledid is all I have to say about bail outs.... Here is a little bit of fact about what a TRILLION DOLLARS IS courtesy of:
Mark in the Morning
A TRILLION DOLLARS NEW YORK (CNN)
“One trillion $1 bills stacked one on top of the other would reach nearly 68,000 miles (about 109,400 kilometers) into the sky, or about a third of the way from the Earth to the moon.”
“To put a trillion dollars in context, if you spend a million dollars every day since Jesus was born, you still wouldn't have spent a trillion”
“A million seconds is about 11½ days. A billion seconds is about 32 years, and a trillion seconds is 32,000 years”
“Everyone is tossing around the words million, billion and trillion. With the national debt now topping $10 trillion, following a $700 billion bank rescue and proposed $800 billion-plus stimulus package, have we become numb to the numbers?”
“Times have certainly changed.”
“Back in 1993, President Bill Clinton wanted a $30 billion jobs and investment package.”
“Just last year, President George W. Bush signed an emergency economic stimulus of $168 billion --- a tally that seems paltry compared with the amount requested today.””All of the financial market interventions, loans, guarantees, bailouts and rescues total more than $7 trillion.”
Ah so that's what I have to say for the last couple of days!

A Program...

Sassy had her yearly program about The American Government and History last Thursday. Too cute. All the kids memorized their parts and did a fantastic job(They weren't small parts either.).... They also sang a song with sign language. I had tears in my eyes during some parts. What great kids!!!!!
My camera however wasn't cooperating so I have some really crappy pictures....
(Oh wait maybe it was the user's error...I think!)
