This Says It All SASSY!!!

So Sass just thinks that well she know's all about life. We are finding out that she is very very type A personality (okay who are we kiddin' we've known since her birth) All I can say is watch out world 'cause she's coming full force and there's no stopping her. Just a quick story. I did her hair in a messy bun on Saturday. We went to a charity basketball game and she was bumped by her brother and suddenly she was panicked about her dang hair do for the rest of the game. She kept asking me if her hair was a mess..... (Here we go I'm not ready for this yet.) So considering that she's so cute , I think I'll get over it. Another story. Chris and I were able to go to her Achivement Days Activity on Wednesday with her. We saw the Joseph Smith Movie. Chris and I have seen it not Sass. She was actually quite scared and then she said she almost cried when he had to have surgery on his leg. I looked over at her during a "Scary" part and she had her face tucked into her legs. Try explaining the advisary to a little girl. It was a very interesting experience for us. Hopefully she won't be too scared the next time she see's it. I was amazed at how tender her little heart was.
Maybe I'll learn a lesson or 1,000 by the time she's 18. Who knows maybe I won't be in the looney bin by then. (She's full of so many surprises.) Here's to Sass....Love you!

Should I Wake Them?

So it is 11:15 AM. and 2 of my kiddos are sleeping soundly still. Okay so this has like never ever happened in the history of my Motherhood. I got up 20 minutes ago. What a lovely little day of sleeping in. We were out kind of late but heavens not 'till the middle of the night. So I've thought and thought about it should I go wake them??? NAH, I'll let them sleep a little bit longer.

OuR ToWn DaYs!!!

We had a fun weekend. (Walking a side.) We had our City Town Days so on Friday the kids were in a Parade. I was so proud of them. They rode their bikes a long long ways. We got snowcones and walked around the booths and let the kids play in a huge sand pile. Saturday we had quite a day. Daddy took the kids fishing in the afternoon and that night we went to the city park for the fireworks. There were hardly any people there so we had a great spot and got out of there fast.

Oh the Joys of Exercise!!!

So those of you who know me know this...... During High School I was very active and involved in many a sports. Running being my absolute favorite. I was a skinny girl hiding behind clothes that were too big and very afraid to wear fitted clothing. After High School I worked really hard at being skinny, looking cute and started to wear more than just mascara. Fast forward a few years. I had a little girl who was almost two and was in really really awesome shape and went to the gym everyday..... a few more years 2 more kids several attempts at losing weight and more important getting into shape this is my story of today. I decided that I would go walking. If you've walked with me you know that I walk pretty fast. I however, haven't gone walking for over a year. I decided I would run for a couple of blocks and then walk the mile I needed to. I made it running for a block. I then spent the rest of my mile wheezing and breathing so heavily I sounded like Darthvader. I walked into our house and I let out some noise and my husband started laughing hysterically. Then my little guy asked me why my skin was all red? I sat down and thought I was going to die!!! Chris still laughing. We were talking and I proceeded to tell my son that I was really hot and that I also couldn't breathe. Chris laughed even more. (Hubs is in amazing shape and works out at the gym every day... Go figure he'd laugh. What a Butt.) I too started to laugh . How funny a sight I must have been. All I can say is this: Hey At Least I'm Trying Here Darthvader breathing and all. I will be back one day I will!!!

IcEcReam...... Then I Scream!!!!!

Your Ice Cream Personality:
You like to think of yourself as a fairly modest person. And it's true that you don't talk yourself up... but you're also pretty happy with who you are.

You have a wild reputation, but you're not as wild as you seem. You take risks, but only measured risks.

You are a somewhat open minded person, but deep down you're fairly conservative. You don't like trying new things very much. And if you do find something new you like, you stick with it.

You are a natural multitasker. You feel alive when you're doing more than one thing at a time.

You are fun loving and sweet. You tend to enjoy joking around and teasing people.

Then Here Is I Scream......
As you can guess Summer for me is all about doing nothing but being outside, breaking up fights, feeding a gazillion kids and not doing a dang thing in my home until kids are in bed a sleep. There seems to be some aura around kids about summer. They think that it's all right to have free reign!!!! This Mom is going mad and it's only been a week. What to do? Well I think all Mom's should have a national holiday called Insane Mom's Day Off. We can go as wacko as our kids and do whatever we choose to do with out anybody stopping us. Wouldn't it be sweet. I'm game if anybody else is.

KiDaR!

My Kids Have IT!! It Is: Kid Radar or what I like to call KiDaR. All Moms go through this. It goes down like this...you are in a rush you need to hurry and get ready and hurry and get the kid lings ready and get to where your supposed to be.... ON TIME then they get it. It starts somewhere from their belly buttons I guess these little antenna pop out and the radar button goes nutso. (I just made that up) They look at you like what are you doing I don't need to rush and we certainly don't need to go where you intended. Then it hits them. They suddenly go into T.V. Slow motion and start to throw fits, scream that they need you and pull on your leg at every available opportunity. (It's always when your trying to do your mascara.) They have a melt down that their Lego's keep falling over. Their clothes aren't what they wanted to wear. Their hair isn't what they had in mind. They can't get the quadruple knot out of their Superman Cape. (The knot wasn't placed there by Mommy either.) They can't find a shoe. They can't find their favorite motorcycle. We finally make it to the car get all settled and buckled in to have a kid say I have to go potty. Then you run inside and run back out and get all settled once again to drive away only to realize that you don't have a purse or a wallet or some important item needed when you get where you are going. So once again you turn around after being a couple of blocks closer to your destination to pick that item up. You finally get in the car and make it to where you are going and your 15 minutes late!!!!
This occurrence happens to me at least twice a week . I fully prepare myself and think that I'll have plenty of time to be some where and this some how always happens.
So this is what I say to KiDaR!!!
-You suck! Go away and don't come back.

BaSkEtBalL CaMp!!!

This week my 2 oldest munchkins have had the amazing opportunity to attend A-TRAIN For Youth's basketball camp . They have been great troopers. They've gotten up at 6:30 a.m. with excitement and come home at noon tired and wanting to rest. (Nice for Mom.) "Coach" Alex Austin ( Former European Basketball Player and NBA Player) is an amazingly generous and kind man. A-Train For Youth is his charity. Chris has had the opportunity to be a friend of his for a couple of years and I can say that He's the real deal. You get what you see. He's genuine and kind and has a heart the size of Texas and we absolutely adore this man. My kids love love love him. They have so much fun when they go!!! They come home exhausted but full of life and not only does he teach them Basketball fundementals He also teaches them what it means to be responsible, hard working and respectful.
Kudos to Him and My Kiddos.

TaLk AbOuT It ThUrSdAy!!!

So I rarely watch the news.... Okay like never!!! ( The news rarely has positive things so I avoid it like the plague.) Last week while Hubs was out of town I was watching the news for only one reason. I was scared to death because I was alone and thought the noise would help distract my thoughts and this is the story that I had the unfortunate privilage of watching....
A woman stole 2 bracelet's from a local pawn shop.( Which they showed the location and name of I'll just rhyme the name... ry and bikes. I don't wanna get in trouble) She was caught on tape swallowing them. The news anchor then proceeds to say that she was arrested and the bracelets were retrieved, cleaned and put back up for SALE! So I was laying there thinking what the H*** did that guy just say. Who would buy the bracelet's now that they just advertised where they retrieved them from. I don't think a soul on this green earth would buy them. I retraced the story in my head and then I almost threw up!!! So this is the FiLtH that is on the news now. (No pun intended.) I don't think that story was newsworthy at all and I certainly won't watch the news for a long, long, long, long, long time to come. But then I started to laugh Hysterically about it because I kept thinking of the news anchor trying their darndest to keep a straight face and not to bust a gut laughing out loud trying to tell this monstrosity.

ThEy LiKe To RiDe!

My Guys like to ride!!!!
The boys are hilarious when it comes to doing things with their Daddy!!! If it's in the yard they are right there. If its jumping their bikes Dad is right there with them. They all shadow each other. It's pretty cute. (So Daddy sold my favorite four wheeler) and has this one up for sale so he decided to take the boys on a "last" ride the other day in the dirt track across the street from our neighborhood. (He knows the owner and has permission to go over when he'd like.) After they were done all I got to hear about was the ride and how much FuN it was.

What can you do with a vacuum hose?

Boo thinks that our vacuum hoses are used for other purposes than vacuuming. Like binoculars or a sword. He has a creative imagination and keeps me on my toes all the time. That's what little boys are made for though... Making sure their mama's are always busy.

Thoughtful Thursday!!! (Not Deep... Really Quite Funny. Stuck In a Window Well)

So I can say this now that the Hub's is coming back from a conference and will be home today. I don't like to write about the goings on at our house while he's away from home just in case. (you never know these day's.)
I Got Stuck In The Window Well.
So on Tuesday night I was outside minding my own business weeding when I decided to go along the side of our home to discover a window well full of water from apparently a broken sprinkler. Panic struck I called Hub's freaking out. He told me to get the shop vac out and go to the well and start sucking the water out. I did. Our nice neighbor across the street came over to help me for a few minutes and show me how to man the Vacuum then had to leave. This is the funny part while he was at our home I jumped down in the window well to hold the hose to the shopvac and then didn't think of a way to get back out. By this time my neighbor had gone. My boys were riding around the house and I yelled for one of them to come to me. Finally one did and I had him go get me a stool. Yeah well the stool sunk to the top when I tried to get out. My son watching this all of the sudden runs off. So now i'm stuck with no one to help me. I'll remind you that it's Stake Lagoon Day so no one is around. I had to pick up Sassy from Gymnastics and was really starting to panic. I wretched my arms trying to pull myself up and finally by some miraculous way I pulled myself up and in the process I wet my pants. (Not a proud moment in my life and I wouldn't ever dare tell anyone this except for it's setting the picture for this story.) I was crying hysterically and yelling for my boys because I could not find them. I did decide to come in and change and I call Chris tell or more like yell at him what was happening in the phone but I was crying so hard and bad that he couln't understand me. I walked out of my house once again yelling for my son's and crying because now... I can't find them and I look up to find my neighbors from up the street walking up my drive way with a step stool to help me with my little boys in tow. My sweet , smart boy went to get help. I was mortified because I was crying and swearing like a sailor and the neighbors probably heard me. Oh Well!! You win some you lose some right? Later on when I was finished cleaning up the mess my little guy said "Hey Mom next time I'll call 991 okay." Me chuckling: " No, it wasn't that big of an emergency." Thankfully my Mom and Rockey showed up to help me out with the last little bit and entertained my kids while I could gather myself together a little bit more.
At that time I wasn't in that great a spot to laugh at myself, but that's pretty DARN funny. I can only imagine what the neighbors thought and saw and more important I learned a valuable lesson:
**** Note to self: DO NOT GO INTO A DEEP WINDOW WELL WITHOUT A LADDER TO GET BACK OUT AND NEXT TIME STAY CALM AND DON'T WET YOUR PANTS.

The Winner , Big Giant Bumble Bee's and A Wedding or 2

And now the winner of my little craft!!!

Drum Roll Please.............Jen!!! You won. I printed out each comment and then picked one out of a bowl. I need your address I sent you a comment.
Thanks to you guys who sent me a comment. It's always nice to hear from you. That's part of the fun of blogging. Getting comments from your friends and family. I always try to let you know we're here and we care about you too. Thanks again.

Continuing onward....

****We have some really beautiful bushes in our front yard landscaping that are attracting huge gigantic bumble bee's with their bodies about the size of a quarter. I've been trying to catch them in action for a couple of weeks and I finally did last Saturday. Here they are.( I wasn't joking they really are big.)

Next...This last week we had 2 weddings, two of Chris' Cousins from his Mom's side. One of them I got to take a couple of cute pictures. Shontel and Kamron. They are a really cute couple and it was really neat to attend her endowment and sealing. She's a sweet girl and the guy she married is a cutie. They make a great match. The second cousin's name is Brianne. I didn't get any pic's of her and her cute husband, but the reception was really lovely. He seems like a really great guy for her. Congrat's to both happy couples. We are really ecstatic for you.
