My Uncle Tony!

Riot Off Road Racing from Riot Racing on Vimeo.
My Uncle Tony passed away yesterday. He died too young and I feel like we should've had him for a lot longer. The amazing thing about our extended family on my Dad's side it that we are very, very close. I have so many fond memories of Tony. He was a jokester. He tried to short sheet my bed in St. George once and I didn't even know it and when everybody else was laughing I was laying in my bed wondering what was so funny when he came in and asked me how my bed was? I then found out what was so funny. He told me when I was a teenager that he wouldn't tease me if he didn't like me. Last year I was leaning back in my chair at a family party and he grabbed my chair like he was going to push me over and I grabbed on to his and we both lost our balance and fell and we couldn't stop laughing. He was a great example of forgiveness and he chatted with me once about a really hard time I was going through and I left with more respect for him. He loved to joke with my kids. He called Sassy "Red" and sometimes you could catch him giving my kids a hug goodbye. He was a great friend to Chris. Chris really loves and respects him too. He loved to Race.... Motorcyles,Trucks and his latest endevor... Riot Racing. ( a BITD Trick Truck made for racing in the desert) He was the co-pilot. He was an amazingly awesome Dad who raised his 2 awesome kids. He loved Hawaii. He loved Painting and was an amazing artist. I loved to look at his paintings because the exude such wonderful color and detail. He is loved by many people. He will be missed by many people. I all ready feel such a void in our great family. He was an honorable man. I am so blessed with a knowledge that he is with a kind Father in Heaven doing the work he needs to now. I can just picture our family who has passed on before him welcoming him home with open arms, great big kisses and shouts of horray. I want my Cousins,His Wife Wendy, Aunts and Uncles, My Grandma & Grandpa and My Dad to know how much I love and appreciate them and how sorry I am for their loss too. The gift of life is so precious and I feel so blessed to be part of such an amazing family who is close and the bond of love that we share is amazing.
Uncle Tony thank you for everything. Love you lot's. 'Til we meet again.

Girls Camp

I had such an amazing time at girls camp! I seriously think that the leaders had more fun than the girls. But the girls had a ton of fun too. It was a great time for me to get away and get out of my shell just a little bit. We also have an amazing group of Young Women. They all get along and they have an amazing gift of becoming unified. I love each of them. They are super awesome. I have the most amazing ladies that I get to work with too. They have become some of my best friends and are truly my sisters too. It was awesome to also see the girls do the obstacle course. There were several moments that I could feel the spirit so strongly.

Youth Conference... WAY LATE!
We had youth conference in June and it was pretty fun. Here are the pictures.... (I've just realized that I'm never in any picture's because I'm the one behind the camera. I don't mind of course, but I was just thinking about that.)
We have an amazing group of youth in our ward and I really enjoy spending time with the Young Women. I remeber how much fun I had in Young Women's and I hope I can at least leave one little smidgeon of something on these girls lifes like the amazing leaders that I had growing up.

BIg FAT HOTDOG!!!
My kids were fighting on Monday and were both sent to their rooms!
My boy said to my girl:
"You're a BIG FAT HOT DOG!" Then my girl proceeded to yell to me what he called her. My Mother In Law and I were sitting in the kitchen laughing our heads off. Then, same boy said: "Mom, sissy isn't in her room where she's supposed to be." Sissy:"I am too I have my foot in my room." More laughing. We aren't allowed to say things like stupid or dumb in our home. We don't usually name call either, but what do you say to Big Fat Hot Dog!!! When I calmed down enough from hysterical laughing and my kids were allowed out of time out I told him we don't say that to people.

Oquirrh Mountain Open House.
We took the kids to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open-House on Wednesday. It was super hot but our tour time was at 8:30 p.m. so it cooled off really quickly. The kids were pretty good. We counted 31 pictures that had Christ in them. That's how we kept Boo's attention. We had him count them all while we all helped look. What a beautiful place. I really loved the simplicity of this temple. I loved the earthy tones. I also loved explaining again what happens when we are sealed for all eternity to my kids. It was a special moment for me. Once again, I forgot my camera so Hubs took out his camera phone and snapped a couple of pictures.
