summer so far

I'm deciding that I like to give a post every couple of weeks now. Sorry not any more everyday's. My life is a little bit crazy right now. It's been nice to not blog everyday for a while. I'm liking this a lot better for now any way.
The full moon was really different a while back and I took a couple pictures. The last one I left my aperture open a long time and didn't have my camera on a tripod so it did the weird effects. It was such an eery, but cool feeling that night. Our Dining Room finally has some decor.... Our family motto is really important. So I had my boss make it for me in vinyl and then I put it on a 16x20 frame. I went and took some pictures of the kids in the orchard in provo and had a print credit so I used it on 12x12 inch prints.

Sassy has been drawing the cutest little people lately. I am not an artist... So her interpretation of our family in chalk was really cute to me. I love it. I wish It could be on our family room wall.
The kids love the slip n slide and summer isn't official until we pull it out along with otter pops, fruit by the foot's and other goodies.BooBoo has been listening to my mp3 player a lot. So one day I took a picture of it. He will sing stayin' alive like it's no body's business.... too funny!

Slumpity Slump Slump.....

I have obviously been in a blogging slump.... I don't know why.
So her are a few little snippet's of what's been going on in our lives.
-Hubs fractured his ankle. A bad sprain with a little tiny minuscule fracture. He's in a boot for 4-6 weeks.-The kids had their school jogapalooza, and the last day of school a couple of weeks ago. I even ran a couple of laps with Gus. I don't know how this happens every year, but I somehow am the lucky mother who get's to do an autograph book for one of the kid's classes. This year it was Gusman's.
Boo-Boo graduated from preschool. We are so proud of little man.
-We had this really amazing thunder and rain storm unlike any I've seen in my life. I won't ever forget it. My kids and the neighbor kids and Hub's and I sat and watched it until it started to pour way too much.
My Sissy's house was under flood watch. The Little Cottonwood Creek was full and overflowing in many places. As a family we sandbagged and bricked a little bit to help their home be safe. It was amazing to see sooo many people out helping.
-I went to youth conference. RAIN, RAIN, RAIN and more rain. Lot's of spiritual moments and I made some really amazing new friends. I was on the food committee. It was a change from being with the girls. I was amazing to see how much work and effort goes into just feeding 500 people. Wow... I have no pictures of me, but I do of our girls.(Minus 2 that were able to go.) We were rained out and came home on Friday night, but it was still awesome. (one small little miracle for me was that my broken lens was able to work in manual mode good enough for me to shoot some pic's.)

Some Pictures

Life isn't always gorgeous and a little walk in the flowers.... Sometimes it's funny faces, messy houses, no money, trying to survive life and getting your kids to heaven and making the best of your life day by day. My husband and kids make life sooooo worth it.

Sassy the "SupaStar"

My sweet Sass and her cousins put on a lovely production of songs and then after they were done told us they needed a photo shoot.... It was a lot of fun seeing my husband go to the job of photographer instead of me. He did a great job. I did the silly edit's.

Next up The Race For The Cure

I feel honored to have 2 Grandma's who have fought the terrible battle of cancer and won it. I am sooo proud of my Grandma Sorensen. I love her and feel blessed by her. It was awesome to walk as a whole family (minus just a couple of people.) with her. She is amazing. They announced her team and we screamed for her.
It was a bitter sweet day for me too because my Grandma Sandberg wasn't there. She passed away last July and my heart just thought of other moment's I've had with her while she was alive.
I was also proud of Sassy and Gus who walked the whole entire way. Boo-Boo walked for a little ways.

Lot's of posts... 1st up park city

We went up to park city for the day..... a couple of Saturdays ago. It was as usual lot's of fun and my kids love the pool, me not so much. I'm mostly an observer of pool activities. Boo is a very skeptical and cautious person. (Takes after me) so it took a lot of persuasion to get him to finally get in the pool and he hung on for dear life. My other kids are fish and love to be thrown, do flips and have big water fights.

My Weeping Cherry Tree 2010

I just love this little tree. I posted pictures of it last year too when it bloomed. I guess it's a tradition along with the giant bumble bee's that we get in the summer. The blooms didn't last very long this year because of all the weirdo weather we've been having, but it is one of my favorite things about spring time. I love pink. It's my favorite color. I love the little blossom's. They remind me of the new and fresh of life.

boo-boo being silly.

While we were planting a garden the kids got a little side-tracked and played in the hose, jumped on the tramp and ate Popsicles.

Our Garden....

While last year we planted one zucchini plant, one tomato plant and one strawberry plant... we had a good little harvest....
This year we planted a lot of things....
9 tomato plants, sweet peas, carrots, really big pumpkins, zucchini, jalapeno, cantaloupe, cilantro and our little strawberry plant from last year is starting to branch out.... Bigger. We stayed outside for most of Saturday and I'll just say I'm am one toasty roasty Mom.... the sunburn isn't so fun.
We feel good about the progress that we've made this year in consideration of what we had last.

Easter

Our Easter was filled with lot's of family, General Conference and ton's of CANDY!!!!
