The Monarch Butterfly...

Hubs had a Butterfly land on his foot while we were standing outside one night with some of our extended family. I didn't have my camera so my sister took the picture of it and then oddly enough hubs picked it up and held it for a few seconds and then it flew away.

Frog Man & The Dishes

Boo has quite the imagination. He came up to me last week and asked if I would buckle up the life jacket..... Backwards. Why not? Silly kid. I walked out of the kitchen a couple minutes later to find my baby like this and he proceeded to tell me that he was FROG MAN! There is never a dull moment with this kid.

***This is just a sidebar for my document keeping. You know it's bad when you come into the kitchen to see your child eating a bowl of cereal out of a left over bowl with a measuring spoon. I was laughing so hard, but realized it's only been a day and a half since the dish washer was ran. That's a lot of dishes to go through.

{Slip N' Slide}

We had some old fashioned Slip N' Slide fun (And by old fashioned I mean a big roll of visqueen) with our family up in North Ogden a couple of weeks ago. I did go down it... I was just the lucky one behind the camera so there aren't any shots of me. (Thank Goodness.) It was a lot of fun because all of the adults were brave enough to try it and then there was Hubs.... He decided that going past the slip n' slide would be a lot more fun too.

Dang blog and bring in the POSSE!

I don't know why my blog background keeps disappearing!!!! If any one know why this would happen please let me know. I've change the dang thing so many times in the last 18 months and it's beyond my comprehension as to why this current one that I've added in the last few days keeps going away.
On to other business.....
Fighting people Pictures, Images and Photos

My children seem to believe in the power of a good fight! It starts out as innocent playful rough housing and turns into full blown fighting. I wrote on facebook that I need to call in a posse and regulate!!!! Well If you have any child rearing idea's that don't involve spanking I'm all ears because my children no longer respond to me when I talk and ask 5 times in a row and then end up yelling. They turn to me and say "geeze Mom you don't need ta yell." Typical kids.
I'm just getting paid back for all the fighting me and my sister used to do. My Mom has picture's as proof. I appreciate my sister now, so hopefully my kids will appreciate each other at some point in time. In the mean time I guess I'll be joining the millions of S.A.H.M.'s in the world of going whackadoo from children fighting and arguing.

Win... Who Me?

I am probably the unluckiest person on the planet. Really I am. But for some unforseen reason I won something. Maybe my luck is changing. It was really little, but I still won it. While searching every Roberts store in the state except for St. George to find these certain things that I make jewelry with(Not exaggerating at all I really went to every roberts store) It was customer appreciation days. They said over the loud speaker that everybody needed to pick a number and stand by it. I did! Number 51. They called 6 numbers that no one was standing by and me in my
no nonsense voice yelled up to the front "we're all standing back here in the 50's call a number in the 50's." They did! Mine. All of us standing in the vicinty started to laugh really hard. I went to the front to collect. I got an American Crafts ribbon set..... Wahooooooeee My five dollar prize!
So for once in the last oh I don't know 10 years
(It really has been that long) I won something.
*** The not so lucky part of this story is that the item I've search long and hard for has been discontinued and the manufacture will not sell it directly to me so we've been calling all the Roberts store's with NO LUCK to see if they'll special order some of the last few for me.

Salt Lake Temple Series.

I have been wanting to have some pictures of the Salt Lake Temple in my home that show the beauty of it from different spots and angles. I've taken a few of my favorites over the past year and I can't wait to do what I plan on doing with these beauties. I think they turned out just how I imagined they would.

Grandma Sandberg Passing On

Grandma passed away early this morning. I want her to know how much I loved her. She was a great person. I have some very fond memories of her.She was a Breast Cancer survivor for over 30 years and that in and of itself is an accomplishment. She has had 8 children and 20 grandchildren and 30+ great grandchildren and a couple of great, great grandchildren. She was a talented woman. I have the privelge of a landscape painting that she made and gave me as a gift hanging in my home. I have an afgan that she knitted for me for my wedding. She also did many ceramics. She loved clocks too. She has several clocks in her home that chime on the hour with various songs and noises. I have a very special memory of having her sit next to me and my Mom in the temple when I was sealed to Chris. I have another memory of walking along side her in her wheelchair at the Race For The Cure and looking over at her and seeing a hat with survivor patches completely filling it. I have inherited the gift of calling my children a list of names when trying to talk to them I say their names partially until I get the right child. My Mom also was passed down that trait from Grandma. I remember canning peaches in the summer with her and Mom. I remember her beautiful flowers and she had snap dragons that she'd let me pick a blossom off of and play with. I loved her rickety old swing set and now there is an almost new one for the younger generations to play on. I loved that she had a clothes line that had clothes hanging on it until a few years ago. I loved her amazing smile. Her laugh was contagious. She could play a mean game of Rummy around a table with my Mom and my Aunt's. She loved Avon and I have received several lotions and chap sticks in my day from her. When I visited with her last week to say good bye she hugged my tightly and told me she was going to be with God for a while. In her next sentence she she said my finger nails were so sparkly and pretty. My tears turned to a smile very quickly. She told me she loved me and that I was a sweet heart. I think she was the sweet heart.
I want my Mom to know how much I look up to her too. She helped take care of Grandma for the past few years and Every Friday she cleaned her home, put her hair in rollers and took her to any place she might need to go like the Doctors office and the store. My Mom is a true example of being selfless.
I am so glad in having a knowledge that I will see Grandma again. She was needed back in Heaven to do a greater work than we'll ever understand here on earth. I would also like to think that her loved one's who have passed on before her and those who will be sent to her family were up in heaven greeting her with open arms and great big kisses and that she wasn't alone in death. I know she is happy.

Sno-Cones and sleeping in.... HUH!

This post is kind of random and kind of not.
Boo-Boo loves sno-cones.Like adores, inhales, scarfs.... you get the idea.
I took a few pictures of him eating one at the Parade.
(Do you like the blue mustache?)
Next, I don't know if it's the fact that I'm a bad mom and letting my kids stay up until about 11:00 every night that I feel lucky because......
WE ARE SLEEPING IN UNTIL 10 EVERY DAY!!!
(Sleep one of my favorite things to do ya know.)
I've been able to stay up later too. I've been reading several books. None of which have any meaning other than romance. I know, I know but it's the summer and I'm needing a break from intellectualist books for just a wee bit. (Don't worry I'm starting 2 new books that have amazing sustenance.)So it's been nice to stay up way late and read and then not have to get up in the early hours of the morning and try to function and get kids ready, a house cleaned and chores done while being in zombie mode.
I'm sure there are many of you who are appalled by my actions. SORRY! We will be getting back to our regular schedule at the beginning of August. But for now.... WHEN IN ROME DO AS THE ROMANS!

A Wedding.

Chris' cousin Tawnya got married on Tuesday to My Brother In Law's Wife's Brother....(Say that five times fast.) It was a beautiful wedding and reception on Tuesday and they also had a reception on Wednesday up in Ogden that was just as beautiful and I got to help out a little. It was a lot of fun. I took more photo's of their families and what was going on around the. I also made the sign in book and took a bunch of pictures along with a billion other people a side from the photographer. I think that they are going to have at least a thousand pictures and different takes on their wedding day.

Wedding ......part 2

The Wedding Again.
