This is called the Valentine that was thought about right after Christmas while at Walmart. I found these...Yes that's right they are gummy lifesaver storybooks (For .50 cent's.) These don't expire until July. They have a long shelf life.
I knew I could turn this little box into a small treat for my kids school teachers. This is what I came up with.
in the end they turn out to be these....
I knew I could turn this little box into a small treat for my kids school teachers. This is what I came up with.
you will need the following items:
Cardstock... any colors you choose.
(Approx. 3-4 12x12 sheets)
1 12x12 sheed of paper to cover chipboard letters
rub-on's
ribbon
ink to distress
glue dots
cutter
scissors
brads
chipboard letters
The instructions will make one;
Step one: Take a sheet of cardstock and cut it into the following measurements;
2: 5 3/4inch x 2 1/4
(These are the sides)
2: 5 3/4 inch x 3 3/4
(Front & Back)
2: 3 3/4 inch x 2 1/4 inch
(top & bottom)
Step 2:
Distress Ink Sides of cut cardstock

Step 3:
(This is the kind of tricky part...
there is a serrated section of each box. you need to score these with a pair of scissors. I didn't take a picture.)
Step 4:
You will then take the top and bottom pieces and glue them. Place glue on the box and the cardstock. This forms a stronger bond.
Step 5:
Continue with the sides. You will see the serrated section. Before gluing place the cardstock on the side and fold according to the serrated section and then cut the carstock and then glue on.
Step 6:
On the front & Back you will also need to place cardstock on the box and using a ruler draw a line then cut accordingly.
Then, glue on.
Step 7:
Use paper and glue on chipboard letter. distress. Embellish with a brad.
Step 8:
Cut glue dot's and place on box where you'd like to put the ribbon. Place ribbon on top.
Step 9:
Put glue dot on letter and place over the top of
ribbon....
And now you have super cute Valentines for your
Kids School Teachers.
