Tony's Wedding!!!

My uncle Tony got married on Thursday night up at the Cliff Lodge to an amazing lady named Wendy. The ceremony was really nice. The food was really nice and of course our being with family was really nice too. Grandma and Grandpa got permission from their M.P. to come to the wedding and it was a treat for us to see them.

A Quote

George Bernard Shaw said, "People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, they make them."
Well, it's pretty apparent, isn't it? And every person who discovered this believed (for a while) that he was the first one to work it out. We become what we think about.
Conversely, the person who has no goal, who doesn't know where he's going, and whose thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion, anxiety and worry - his life becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry. And if he thinks about nothing... he becomes nothing.
How does it work? Why do we become what we think about? Well, I'll tell you how it works, as far as we know. To do this, I want to tell you about a situation that parallels the human mind.
Suppose a farmer has some land, and it's good, fertile land. The land gives the farmer a choice; he may plant in that land whatever he chooses. The land doesn't care. It's up to the farmer to make the decision.
We're comparing the human mind with the land because the mind, like the land, doesn't care what you plant in it. It will return what you plant, but it doesn't care what you plant.
Now, let's say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand- one is a seed of corn, the other is nightshade, a deadly poison. He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds-one corn, the other nightshade. He covers up the holes, waters and takes care of the land...and what will happen? Invariably, the land will return what was planted.
As it's written in the Bible, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."
Remember the land doesn't care. It will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will corn. So up come the two plants - one corn, one poison.
The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn't care what we plant...success...or failure. A concrete, worthwhile goal...or confusion, misunderstanding, fear, anxiety and so on. But what we plant it must return to us.
You see, the human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we want to plant.

1st Day Of School!

My babies are all in school now..... (Yikes I'm Old)

My youngest boy started pre-school today.

Sassy and Gus started school yesterday. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I am happy and sad all rolled up into one. I can't beleive how fast time goes by. I want it to go by fast some days and linger a little longer others. It's funny how life is.

A Bridal Shower

Also this weekend we had a bridal shower for my little sister. We all chipped in on yummy stuff for a chocolate dipped theme. I bought a chocolate fountain 2 years ago and this was the first time it was used.(Well Used)
My Mom, My Sisters Soon to be Mother-In-Law,Sisters and I had the shower for her. It was a lot of fun and my sister got tons of the stuff she needed.

So Do You Like Doing This Kind Of House Work?

So once every 6-8 months I climb up here .... to dust. It was with a purpose this past weekend though. I wanted to put one of my prized posessions on some Big Hat Boxes that were up above my door in an alcove. So needless to say I climbed up on a ladder and sat for about 45 minutes and dusted rearranged and took the boxes down to be used. This is about the only time you'll ever see my in my jammies with out makeup with my hair not done in a picture. ( quite scary) I got what I wanted out of the deal and that's all that matters though. One of my treasure's is put in a new place.

J.R.T.

I had the opportunity to go to Achievement Days with Sass. It was such a great experience. We went to the Jordan River Temple and a sister who works at the temple in our ward talked with the girls about the temple. She did a great job. When I tucked my little sweet sassy in she said that her favorite part was hearing about the special room for brides. I just smiled as I imagined being able to be with her when she grows up and get's married for all Eternity. I feel so blessed by such a sweet girl.
I have grown to love this temple soooo much. I try to go at least 2-3 times a month here. I feel such a calm and peaceful feeling and all the cares of my world seem so minute in the grand scheme of the plan our Heavenly Father has for us. I truly feel blessed.

Dad Jumps and a Birthday PaRtY with FrIeNdS...

We are always outside if you didn't notice..... hubs is going to be mad at this post because it's of his backside but oh well. Then he conjured up the idea to jump over one of our kiddo's. It literally scared the H*L* out of me. He did it though by a mile and Boo Boo was laughing of course the whole time.
Gus had a birthday party with his friends. He wanted to have a Pirate Party so we just pulled out some of our Halloween Deco. and whammo we had a decorated house. We had 10 kiddo's running around and it was sooo much fun to watch them play together. We played musical chairs and pin the bone on the skeleton.....

A Photoshoot

So one of my best friends had me take some photo's of her family this past weekend. I can't beleive I'm saying this but I took 420 pictures and then after I edited them I still had about 160. So they have some picking to do. My drug of choice is shooting photo's and then editing them. It's like yoga.... It takes me to my happy place.

What We've Been Doing .....

This last week was filled with lot's of fun memories .... Since we haven't done literally anything this summer except stay at home it's been a fun treat to do a little bit of something.

It started off with our family going to the Demolition derby last Friday... This is a yearly occurance all though our location has changed to the Salt Lake County Fair instead of Kamas Days. ( Yes, we have indulged in this honky white trash event for a very long time.) We were impressed as we have seen our share of demo.derb's. Boo-Boo loved to watch with his Grandpa.
We also got to watch the

Professional BMX trixter dudes. If you know my son then you know he loves this kind of stuff and all though these guys look kind of rough they shared a great message about being drug free and getting the kind of high out of life by exercising and doing enjoyable healthy things. I was impressed and they took the time out to sign autographs and take a picture with our dude.

(Here is another of his "great " faces.)

Second, our kids enjoyed a rain storm last Saturday and Dad went out and caught them in it.

Third, we celebrated a Birthday on Sunday with Chris' family. Gus got a ton of cool stuff.

Last, Gus has started Baseball. Oh the days of being just a dance Mother are now going to include a baseball Mom. It is about the cutest thing to see all the little guys playing.
( My little guy is about a head taller than all of the other kiddo's even though they are the same age.)
It's fun to see him practice "baseball ready" & "alligator jaws."
