Experience

I don't know why or how this happened and all I can say is that the Lord had a hand in it. I had such an amazing experience on Thursday night. I was able to follow "The Big Dog" around and shoot pictures for something very special. I don't know why he called me or the reasoning behind it. I do know however that I will always remember the experience with great fondness and as an amazing learning adventure for myself and that I don't think I'll ever quit wondering why. I got to meet a couple of area authorities... That is very special to me.I had all access to where I wanted to go and I also got to shoot his camera for a little bit and I drooled over it. He swapped me for mine.... I was quite embarrassed when I switched, but I put my pride away for an amazing chance. I was even more embarrassed to see what everybody else was shooting with too, but that's my own dumb issue.
(I want a new camera and lens set up soooo bad now.
Dreaming is always good right? WILL accept donations.... J/K!)
Lesson learned: Take a chance even if you don't think you're good enough. The Lord answers our prayers in his own way. Listen to what others have to say and learn from the experiences placed before you.
Give thanks and gratitude where needed.

The Giant Lovely's Are Back.... YAY!

This year I caught them a little bit earlier than last, but I love them still the same. The GIANT BUMBLE Bee's that take flight in my flowers every spring make me so happy. They have an orange stripe on their backs and pretty much leave us alone. These bee's aren't your regular run of the meal bee's. They are really really big. Like the size of a quarter big. So
I feel pretty special that they visit our home. '
This weekend we took a little visit to Grandpa Marti's Grave too. Chris has such fond memories of his Dad. He tells our kids the good things about him when we go visit. He always cries a little too, but he tries really hard not to show it. (Macho Man.) I think it's really cute that this year our kids walked around to other graves and if they noticed that the plants were tipped over they'd pick them back up.

Dad's little shadow.

Boo is fascinated with his daddy lately. He follows him around constantly. He get's sad when he see's his Dad go to work... even if it is downstairs. He mimic's his every move.
So it's no surprise when he begged to mow the lawn with him and it also not a surprise that I catch him wearing Daddy's Maverick glasses all the time either.

Kind and Generous.

If you ever do anything in this life help change the lives of others for the better......
This man has done just that:

Please take the time to read about "Larry the food Guy"
He is my little sister Kelso's Grandpa.
He is amazing and deserves the huge angel wings he's going to get in heaven for his kindness and generosity.

Suspects Aprehended......

This post might not be funny to you, but is to me. Sunday night 5 suspects were aprehended in my home doing something.....
Hubs thought it would be funny to put said "mask" over his face and walk over to his Mom and scare the crap out of her. I was laughing so hard I almost wet my pants. Well my midgets and Mother In Law had to get in on all the action and each took a turn with the "mask." Needless to say Sunday nights are never boring at my home and I'm sure glad I didn't do this because these pictures are going to be black mail someday!

Gus' Program

Gus did awesome in his school program. They sang about America ,Said the consitutuion with sign language and sang the 50 states song among many other's . I am amazed that little kids just suck knowledge in sooo fast. He is smart just like his sister. He is also one of the most sick kids ever. After we got home from his program he played with a friend from school and came home with a major ear ache and screamed for about an hour..... 3 days later the other ear same sreaming. This kiddo has caught everything this year. He is also way into peace and peace signs so I had to post a picture of him doing it. Also, he likes to say things like you rock and right on man.He thinks it's funny after he's ready for bed to put a beanie on for a minute. (don't ask me I just work here.)
This kid just cracks me up and his love for life is contagious.

Mother Hood 101

So It's 2 days past Mother's Day and I'm writing this ......
(It's never too late right.)
What I've learned as a Mother.
-Always look for rocks in the pockets of little boys pants when doing laundry.... or for that matter cars, candy, string, paper, legos etc....
-Give yourself a good time out when smoke appears to be coming out your ears when angered.
-Stop and smell the Roses of your life for just a couple of minutes each day.
-Just say no to MUD! (It ruins things.Unless you don't care then it's cute to watch the kiddies play)
- Self indulgences such as Cherry Coke lead to weight gain and caffeine addiction. (HEE HEE!)
-No sleep bags under the eyes are very attractive.
- Arguing with a "Tween" is soooo much fun.
(Yes, she is at that stage....I wanna cry.)
- Date night can and most often consists of going to the store.... I mean Walmart, Smiths or Albertsons and that's okay as long as we're
ALONE TOGETHER.
-Being an on demand chef isn't all it's cracked up to be.
-Becoming a pirate, princess, train conductor, explorer and many other imaginary things helps me want to figure out who I wanna be when I grow up.
-The latest gossip consists of : Who has something and "Why don't we get to have that or go there or try this?"
-The funny mom song is still my Anthem a year after viewing.
-----------------------------------------------------
In all seriousness though. I think being a Mom has been the most rewarding challenge of my life. I don't regret the decision to become a Mother one bit. I look back and I've always wanted to be a Mom for as long as I could remember. I treasure each of my children. They are the greatest gifts that God has given me. I have never felt more alive and never had to work as hard. I feel the love of my children every day and I couldn't ask for a more precious treasure than each of my kids.

So from me to you.... I hope you each had a very happy, special
Mother's Day.

I'm BatMAN!!!!

We Have a cartoon of a Batman Show ..... Let me just say that Boo Boo
has a new obsession. He has to watch it at least 2 times a day and we now have been graced with a gloved hand at all times for the past 5 days. When asked why he wears a glove he proceeds to put out his arm that is gloved and says
"I'm Batman" and makes some swooshhing sounds and runs away.
At first when I saw this I said: "Hey Michael!" just to be funny bun in all seriousness he got very angry and said: "I not Micheal I'm Batman."
He also told me on Friday while he was playing with his friend....
"I'm playing Tony Hawk and She's pretending to be my Mommy."
What a funny dude.

A Courageous Soul-

I feel blessed to have known certain people that I've met in my life. A few years ago I met one of those such people. Jenn! She lived in my last ward and worked on the Activities Committee as a co-chair with me for a short time and then she was the Relief Society President until after I moved away. She always had a smile on her face, a sympathetic ear, an eternal optimist and a very loving heart.
Even after we moved we've bumped into each other on a few occasions and she was always so caring and concerned.
She fought an amazing battle with Breast Cancer and passed away yesterday. I feel like heaven is especially lucky to get her back.
She's AMAZING!
