ODE TO THE HUBBY!!!!(Cheesy.... There will be at least 2 more post's like this. this week)

So Our Anniversary Is On FRiday!!!! I don't know what we have planned because I told him that it was his turn to pick again this year. He did an amazing job last year for number 10. We went to the Roof (one of my favorite resteraunts) where we had a seat near the windows by the temple and after we were done eating the waiter brought out a huge platter that had roses all over the outside and when he lifted up the lid there we all kinds of flowers and a BOX... Not just any box it was a ring box. I looked at my husband and he said "open it" I did. It was a three carat diamond ring. WOW!!! I was totally shocked. So stupid me forgot to bring a camera. (Me the scrapbooker of everything.) So I only have a happy memory to look back on and a wayyyy super nice ring and an awesome, sweet loving husband to keep the memories of our 10th wedding anniversary.

The Flood!!!!

This is what I have been doing all DA! I have Vaccumed up at least 10 gallons of water from the carpet and carpet padding in My Mother In Laws' room today. This is the biggest dissaster ever.... We get to put industrial fans on the carpet and padding. We get to replace the carpet padding and get the carpet cleaned so that any bacteria will be killed!!!!! Jenny get's to sleep out in our family room on her bed for the next few day's along with all the other stuff from her room. Our basement was just finished last April. We have been having issue's with the plumbing in her room. Needless to say our contractor didn't fix any of the problems!!!!! This is madness. I think that I have just had a string of bad luck lately..... What's up with that. I'M NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!! (Oh and the contractor won't answer his phone.. surprise.)

THIS IS A SHOCKER!!!!

Holy Cow This Is Funny As All Get Out.(Sorry Grandma.)

How To Be A Good Wife(From a 1952 High School Home Economics Textbook)

I Guess I would've Failed Miserably. Don't get me wrong. I love my husband to the ends of the earth... But mom's need a little OF THIS too.(HELLO!!)

HAVE DINNER READY: Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal on time. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.

PREPARE YOURSELF: Take 15 minutes to rest so that you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your makeup, put a ribbon in your hair, and be fresh looking. He has just been with a lot of work weary people. Be happy and cheerful and a little more interesting. His boring day may need a lift.

CLEAR AWAY THE CLUTTER: Make one last trip through the main part of your house just before your husband arrives; gathering up school books, toys, paper, etc. Then run a dust cloth over the tables. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give him a lift too.

PREPARE THE CHILDREN: Take a few minutes to wash the children's hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair and, if necessary, change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part.

MINIMIZE THE NOISE: At the time of his arrival, eliminate all the noise of the washer, dryer, or vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet. Be happy to see him. Greet him with a warm smile and be glad to see him.

SOME DON'TS: Don't grieve him with problems or complaints. Don't complain if he's late for dinner. Count this a minor compared with what he might have gone through that day. Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or suggest he lie down in a bedroom. Have a cold or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soft, soothing, and pleasant voice. Allow him to relax and unwind.

LISTEN TO HIM: You may have a dozen things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first.

MAKE THE EVENING HIS: Never complain if he does not take you out to dinner or to other places of entertainment. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure, his need to be home and relax.

THE GOAL: Try to make your home a place of peace and order, where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit.

Potty Training Any One?

So Potty Training is not my favorite thing in the world. I would rather eat bugs!!! We have been trying to potty train E for a little while and all though it isn't consistant we are getting him used to the idea. Now for my story: POOP!!!! I pretty much know if my child dissapears for over 2 minutes and I call his name and he has a distant sound he's in some corner hiding going poop!!! Last night we had to wait for him. He told us he wasn't done yet. We bribed him with a big smartie sucker from the gas station if he'd go on his potty. He said no. So while we were sitting in the family room waiting for him to do his business in private forever and ever and ever we finally told him to finish in the car. We get him in his car seat and get in and he tells us he's done..... (Turn around unbuckle and go change him.... walk back out buckle back in drive away!) This morning he does it again...... I think i'm done!!!! I wish this would be as easy as potty training our girl, But boys are wayyyy different. Oh well we'll get there one day in this life.

The Boy Can Get MAAAADDDD!!!

I don't usually take pictures of angry kids.... but today i did! Hunter could play outside allllll daaaaaaaaaayyyy long if I would let hime. Not only that he could play with friends all day long too. So this fit happened in our front yard at 5:20 this afternoon in case any body heard a screaming kid. (it was mine.) He was so mad at me because I told him it was time to come in. Needless to say I had been taking picture's of E out on his scooter and decided instead of getting angry back I would take a picture of what he looked like mad.... (Pretty scary. Huh) For the most part he's a great kiddo. I love him. Sometimes I just wanna pull my hair out after my kids throw these kind of fits. (i'm not a spanker, so time-out and aversion to other technique's have to work. I'm game for advice.) I'm gonna show this picture to him when he has a kid that throw's fit's. I gonna say it's not all peaches n' cream honey just look at you when you were little....hahahahahahaha!

On a much lighter note here are some great pic's of the kids and some friends on the tramp last week....

Have I Done Any Good In The World Today?

My Mother In Law is with us for the next two months. It's our turn to host her. So today I got a nice break and went to Costco and Walmart all by myself. After I was done I went to 7eleven to get slurpee's for the boys and a drink for my mom in law and a nice gentleman held the door open for me. Another getleman the clerk said good morning and asked if he could help me with anything. That is pretty nice considering it being 7eleven. So it made me think.... what could I do nice for today? I did pay it forward, but that's not important what is..... is that there are kind people all over the world still and that we all need to include ourselves in that category. Just a thought.

Locks Of Love Donation #2

So my McKenna girl decided to donated her hair once again to locks of love. This is the second time. The first being 2 and a half years ago. (Her Hair grows really fast and is super thick. Her hair was seperated into several pony tails before being cut because one would be too big.) So these are the pic's. Notice her looking at a magazine just like women do. Pretty funny. I'm so proud of her. Who wouldn't be. I feel so blessed by her sweetness every day of my life.
SIDE NOTE:You'll also take notice that she has a huge sore on her nose in between her eyes. A boy accidently tripped her at school and she face planted it after she slid a few feet.
