So today was like any other day at our home.... Kids go to school. Kids come home from school. Kids do homework. Daughter goes to Activity Days. Mom Goes to Young Womens. Mom comes home and Dad proceeds to tell Mom that she is going to be sooooo proud of her daughter and Mom asks "Why?" This is what Dad hands the Mom....The Utah State Board of Education Certificate of Outstanding Performance

What? Huh! What?
I wasn't informed of this when she got home the little stinker..... I'm definately proud.
I'm also proud that she tied for 3rd place in her class spelling bee and all though she didn't get to move on it doesn't really matter she tried her hardest.
Now on to a really funny matter..... Well at least I think so.
I was going through her papers today and on her Native American test she missed a question.
Her written answer to this question was....
Native Americans were forced to move to?.....
"A CRAPPY PLACE!"
Her teacher wrote this.....
"not nice language-please don't use at school."
Me really trying not to laugh because technically they were forced to some pretty crappy places told my child how inappropriate that answer was and that she know's wayyyyyy better than that. I looked over at Hubs and started to laugh soooo hard...
(I'm not a good example for not using that word. I'll take the blame for that one.)

Congrats Sassy!!! I'm sure this is just the start of a large stack of certificates for scoring high on tests through the years. And good job on the Spelling Bee- I'm a big fan of s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g b-e-e-s! I think her answer was totally correct. I'm sure the teacher had a good laugh. :)
