Okay so my Bro-In-Law Erik asked me if we had a facebook account yesterday???? I said no I've heard of it but hadn't checked it out. Well hence we now have a facebook account and we have found a bazillion people that we know on it. How fun it's been finding tons of people from our high school stomping grounds, wards and neighborhoods.... So then my friend Kimberly has a tag on her blog called :
High School
****She didn't tag me but I thought I'd play along and if any body else wants to join in have at it.
Here we go:
High School: I went to 2. Granite my sophomore year and Brighton my junior and senior years soooooo go BeNgAlS!
1. Did you date someone from your high school: Yes, I dated a couple of guys from high school.
Jared W. my sophomore year.
Not a dang soul my junior year
and
Scott M. my senior year.
I met Hubs in high school but we didn't figure out we were meant to be for a long time.
2. What kind of car did you drive? : I had no car and my Dad didn't let me drive his very often so I was a moocher from my friends. (Thanks Guys.) So I didn't buy a car until after high school.
3. What is your most embarrassing moment in high school? I've had a few and I won't go into detail but they all include falling!!!! (yes you all know I'm still a klutz.)
4. Were you a party animal? No, but I had a ton of fun.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?: Yes, A'capella
7. Were you a nerd? : I was just a regular kid who had all kinds of different groups of friends.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? : Yes, At Granite I was on Varsity Track and I lettered. I played Basketball there too, but was on J.V. (My husband teases me that I was only the manager all the time, but I wasn't.)
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? : Close, Lettie and I got in big trouble by the vice Principal for sluffing .... Long story but we were in kind of deep doo-doo with Seminary Council and
Bro. Murdock. It all worked out though.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? : I can sing Granite's and Brighton's was very slow when we went there so I didn't learn it all. (I'm lame)
11. Who were your favorite teachers? : Mr. Waldron, Ms. Jacklin, Mr. Gillen
(Use your Yankee ingenuity. I absolutely loved history)
12. Where did you sit during lunch?: I went to lunch at Granite and at Brighton I sat with a ton of different people and we went to TacoBell a lot too.
13. School Mascot?Granite Farmers & Brighton Bengals.
14. Did you go to homecoming and with who?: Yes...
Sophomore: Allan W.
Junior: Nope
Senior: Marti P.
15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Yes and No. Yes because I would've been into looking more like a cute girl instead of a granola and studying way more.... No, because some of my most awkward moments in life happened in High School.
(learning who and what you are with a ton of other teenagers all over again... no thanks.)
16. What do you remember most about graduation?: It was rained out and it was really fast. We had a fun party at Cottonwood Heights Rec. Center too. Breakfast the morning after the party and parents who let me stay out for 2 days straight. A vacation with a bunch of girls and a trip to Hawaii as a gift from Grandpa and Grandma S.
17. Where did you go senior skip day?: I don't think we had one and if we did, I don't remember.
18. Were you in any clubs? : Track N' Field, Basketball and A'Capella.
19. Have you gained weight since then?: Got really twiggy for about 7 years and Now after 3 kiddo's not a skinny girl any more. (I'm working on that again though.) Babies deform our bodies what can I say..... It's worth it completely though!!!!
20. Who was your prom date?:
Sophomore year : Jake... Didn't have fun and really wanted to go home.
Junior Year: Nope
Senior Year: Scott M. (I'll never forget his boutineer falling of on the second story balcony of the Capitol Building and laughing about it.)
21. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?: Went to it and the 5 year.... don't know about all the rest, but probably yes because my husband is the social butterfly in our household and we graduated the same year and class from Brighton and he know's everybody!!!
(We don't go any where with out running into someone he know's.)
22. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?: Do better in school. Live for the moment and not worry so much about "When you grow up". Not be sooo shy and wear make-up and date a ton of guys and don't worry what others think of you because you'll turn out to be just what you always wanted to be and you'll be just fine!!!
